Sci-Fi London 2008
The Sci-Fi London Film Festival is returning to town at the end of the month with a fantastic line-up of fantasy films.
The event opens with a screening of Dante 01, the eagerly anticipated debut solo feature from Marc Caro, co-director of Delicatessen and The City of Lost Children. Set on a hellish prison spaceship, this tale of aliens, demons and deadly prisoners features the kind or arresting images one would expect from this visionary filmmaker.
Closing night film is also well worth a look, being the world premiere of Aleister Crowly’s flick Chemical Wedding. Written by Bruce Dickinson, directed by Julian Doyle and featuring a powerhouse performance from Simon Callow, the film is a gripping mystery thriller that deals with action, time travel and the occult.
