Leonardo DiCaprio looks at the life of Ian Fleming
Leonardo DiCaprio may not have a chance to become James Bond but he is certainly looking at masquerading as Ian Fleming in a biopic based on the famous author. Ian Fleming is the creator of the world-wide phenomenon, James Bond and his life will be relived in a movie scripted by Damian Stevenson.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s production company, Appian Way, has agreed to produce the movie and Leo is looking at his schedule to see if he can fit the role into his busy calendar. Appian Way has previously produced movies such as The Assassination of Richard Nixon and Gardener of Eden.
Some people doubt that Leo could pull off the part. What do you think?
Fraggle Rock is coming to the big screen
Fraggle Rock, a children’s television series which ran for 5 seasons between January 10, 1983 to March 30, 1987, is coming to the big screen. The Weinstein Company will produce the movie based on Jim Henson’s show and Cory Edwards, who directed Hoodwinked, will write the screenplay and direct the Fraggle Rock movie.
The movie will take the main characters of the show - Gogo, Wembley, Mokey, Boober and Red outside of their cave in Fraggle Rock, where they interact with humans, who think these characters are aliens.
A lot like the Muppets but would be cool to see them in a movie.

Lovely Bones with Mark Wahlberg and Rachel Weisz
Based on the best selling book by Alice Sebold, The Lovely Bones is the story of a 14-year-old girl from suburban Pennsylvania who is murdered by her neighbor. She tells the story from Heaven, showing the lives of the people around her and how they have changed all while attempting to get someone to find her lost body.
The Lovely Bones is directly by Peter Jackson (who also wrote the screenplay) and stars Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon and Michael Imperioli of Sopranos Fame.
There was some shuffling of actors before the filming of the movie began. Mark Wahlberg replaced Ryan Gosling just days before shooting of the movie began. In preparation for the role, Gosling had gained 20 pounds and grew out a beard. However, he vacated the role due to creative differences. Wahlberg, who had just completed shooting The Happening, another movie shot in Pennsylvania, became available just in time to accept Gosling’s role. Helen Hunt was reportedly considered for the role of Abigail Salmon. Instead, Rachel Weisz accepted the role, and was the first actor cast in the movie.
The movie is scheduled for release on 13 March 2009 but this can change as production progresses.
Babylon A.D. - Vin Diesel returns
Vin Diesel is set to return in Babylon A.D. Vin Diesel plays Thoorop, a mercenary, who has to escort Sister Rebecca, played by Michelle Yeoh, from Russia to China. What he does not know is that Rebecca has an organism living inside her that makes her a target for a cult that wants to harvest that organism and create a genetically modified Messiah.

Angels & Demons - Tom Hanks and Ron Howard return
Tom Hanks will return as Dr. Robert Langdon in Angels & Demons. Ron Howard return as the director and this time, he is bringing Naomi Watts with him to star as Vittoria Vetra.
Angels & Demons is Dan Brown’s third novel in which Robert Langdon, a Harvard symbologist, tries to solve a murder and prevent a terrorist act against the Vatican. Vittoria Vetra’s murdered father, a brilliant scientist, had created the world’s most powerful energy source and it has fallen into the wrong hands.
Shooting will start in June of 2008 and the movie is slated for release on 15th May 2009. If you have not read the book, I strongly suggest you do, it is said to be even better than DaVinci Code.
Scary Movie 5 - Someone make them stop!
Scary movie 5 is in production. Do you remember the time when spoofs like Naked Gun, Top Secret and Airplane used to be funny? Well, we really don’t find these new ones funny anymore. As long as someone keeps making horror movies, Dimension films are not going to quit.
Can someone please stop them?
Kevin Costner has the Swing Vote
Kevin Costner is the Actor/Producer of comedy movie titled ‘Swing Vote‘. This movie is due to release on the 1st of August, 2008 and will lock horns with Mummy 3. Swing Vote is about a working-class single father who has to make the ultimate decision on who gets to be the next president of the United States. This movie has pretty loaded cast - Dennis Hopper, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, George Lopez, Judge Reinhold and Nathan Lane.
The movie will be directed by Joshua Michael Stern (directorial debut). Although this movie sounds fun, I am not too sure about how well it will do. The timing of this movie could save it.
