Tin Cup (1996)
Kevin Costner plays Roy McAvoy in the movie Tin Cup. Roy McAvoy is former PGA golfer who has hit an all time low and now gives golf lessons in the small Texas town of Salome. It is here that he meets Dr. Molly Griswold, played by Rene Russo. He falls in love with Dr. Griswold and finds out that his arch rival, David Simms, is in a relationship with her. He tries to win her over by going back to the professional circuit and winning the U.S. Open.
The movie also stars Don Johnson as David Simms and Cheech Marin as Romeo Posar, Roy’s friend and partner in crime. Perfect cast and a great soundtrack make this movie worthwhile.
This movie earns 6.5 ‘birdies’ out of 10
