The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

The Mummy Tomb of the Dragon EmperorThe new installment of the Mummy series is slated for release on August 1st, 2008. This time, Rick O’Connell (Brendan Fraser) will travel to the Far East to unearth the mummy of First Emperor of Qin. Qin was a shape shifting being who was cursed by a wizard centuries ago.

Luke Ford will play Rick and Evelyn’s son, Alex O’Connell, John Hannah will return as Evelyn’s brother, Jonathan Carnahan.

Rachel Weisz, however, announced that she will not be returning for the third movie due to different interests with the screenplay. Mario Bello, of “World Trade Center” and “A History of Violence” fame, will play Evelyn O’Connell in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

To add to the excitement, Jet Li will play Emperor Han and bring his crazy martial arts into the mix.

    I can’t wait to see the next Mummy. The first two were excellent. And Jet Li’s gonna be in it too? It’ll be a box office hit the first week. Thanks for the heads up!

    I am looking forward to it as I really enjoyed the first two. Pity Rachel won’t be back to play Evelyn though.
