Blindness at Cannes
Opening at the 61st annual Cannes Film Festival tonight will be a film by Brazilian director Fernando Meirelles. Blindess, is an apocalyptic thriller about a plague of blindness that sweeps the world, save a doctor’s wife in a small town. Doesn’t that sound terribly fascinating?? I am chomping at the bit after reading that little tidbit of information… I can’t wait to get an opportunity to see this little beauty.
Blindness stars, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo. Meirelles is known for his direction of The Constant Gardener in 2005.

Got something to say?
I agree its sounds VERY good - as well I love the key actors which is a plus.
I read the book… you won’t be disappointed! I’m interested in seeing how well this translates to film. The book has a very disorrienting narrative (due to, well, all the blindness).
