Baby Mama - Review
With a heavy heart I ventured out to see this movie… expecting cliche after cliche and little to no story, typical chick flick. Who knew that Tina Fey could deliver so well. There are chuckles all over the place with this story of a clock-ticking-thirty-something-executive who enlists the assistance of a local yokel to surrogate her baby. Throw in an enterprising, yet dunce of a boyfriend (Sheppard) and an earthy, save-the-world-with-a-smoothie love interest (Kinnear) and you’ve got the combination for a well spent $9.
Greg Kinnear, Dax Sheppard and Amy Poehler really bring an A game to this comedy. Poehler is definitely someone I hope to be seeing again on the big screen.
I give this movie 6.5 ‘Super Fruity Owners’ out of 10.

Got something to say?
I’m seeing this tomorrow with my mother. I’m hoping it’s decent, but since I adore Tina Fey, I’m sure she won’t disappoint.
Baby Mama made me obnoxious-laugh throughout the whole thing. Good for me, bad for everyone else…
Your header is killer!
I love these two in SNL - I was wondering if they could pull it off on the big screen. glad to hear you gave them a good review. Not sure if I will see it in the theater tho… still might wait for the DVD.
Hey, found you through the LAMB. Great site you’ve got here, I’m using a theme from Brian Gardner as well!
I want to see this movie. But I don’t think I”ll have time. Also, do you update your own box office numbers, or do you get theme from somewhere?
Welcome to Lamb, Joe
JB, let us know what you think about the movie.
Glad you liked this. I was starting to think I was the only one. I hope this catapults Fay/Poehler into bigger and better films.
Amy and Tina were great in this. I didn’t expect to like it but i did! I thought Oscar (played by Romany Malco) did a fantastic job as the nosy yet helpful bell boy. I’ve always thought he brings a lot to all everything he is in (Blades of Glory, 40-Year Old Virgin, Weeds).
