Scene-It…Again

I have to admit that I’m a sucker for rerun movies on tv. Often, late at night, while I’m trying to drift off to sleep, I am drawn into a movie that I’ve likely seen before, and for some reason I just can’t turn away. Maybe it’s the comfort of watching from the coziness of my bedroom, or the familiarity of the story, knowing I won’t have to give my full attention to still enjoy the plot, or perhaps it’s just the opportunity to scrutinize all that I would have missed in the first viewing.

Whatever my real reason is, I can say with surety that for anyone who is a movie lover, from box office hits to B movie flops, watching a movie the second, third or 42nd time around (Top Gun), enjoying it from the comfort of home is the way to go. Add DVR to the mix, with the ability to pause and rewind, and a fridge full of your favourite snacks and you’ve just created the perfect Sunday evening, providing plenty of source material for the Monday morning water cooler get-together.
